Useful Tools
Over the course of the NOVATERRA project, three distinct digital tools have been developed to support more sustainable and efficient agricultural practices, each designed with specific users and purposes in mind: Sustainability Assessment Tool – YouSustain, Adoption Intention Predictive Tool – TPB Prediction and Decision Support System (DSS). These tools collectively support NOVATERRA’s mission to promote more sustainable and resilient agriculture in the Mediterranean region.
Designed for farmers, agronomists, and researchers, this tool enables the assessment of sustainability in agricultural practices. It evaluates environmental, economic, and social indicators, helping users identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions for more sustainable farming.
How sustainable is your agri-food supply chain?
This tool is aimed at researchers, policymakers, and agricultural advisors. Based on the Theory of Planned Behavior, it predicts the likelihood of farmers adopting innovative, sustainable agricultural technologies. It helps stakeholders understand behavioral drivers and tailor strategies to encourage sustainable adoption.
Developed for farmers and agricultural technicians, this DSS provides real-time monitoring and support for the control of pests and diseases in olive groves and vineyards. By integrating weather data, crop models, and pest forecasts, it allows for more precise and sustainable interventions, reducing the need for chemical inputs.

NOVATERRA Open Data
Following the Open Science approach, NOVATERRA experiments datasets generated and used in the project Case Studies have been made public using the Zenodo platform, according to the NOVATERRA Data Management Plan.
