The main objective of the School of Technology Transfer, Digitalisation and Innovation of the wine sector (Wine Innovation School) is to bring grape growers and winemakers the latest technologies and innovations tested in wine R&D projects promoted by PTV, under practical thematic courses (presently mode) in rural areas within national scope.
This is an initiative of the Spanish Wine Technology Platform financed during 2023 within the framework of the Digitalisation Package (measure 1, submeasure 1.2) for the agri-food sector by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food with €61,598.39 and under 80% co-financing with FEADER Funds.
The program is based on demonstrative activities that address key topics for the wine sector in terms of innovation, digitalisation, and training, such as:
- Vine irrigation, Workshop with all innovations in vine irrigation.
- Vine Pruning. from Columella to Digital twins.
- Digital Field Notebook. Innovative solutions
- Digital and Precision viticulture. Optimisation management and use of phytosanitary products and their vineyard application with intelligent sprayers based on new digital technologies, for greater economic and productive profitability.
